Microsoft® Windows® users are being advised to uninstall Apple® QuickTime as soon as possible. Apple announced they are no longer supporting QuickTime for Microsoft Windows, meaning Apple will not be fixing any more security vulnerabilities within the video player.
Trend Micro reported two known security vulnerabilities to Apple last November. Instead of fixing the vulnerabilities, Apple officially suggests Windows QuickTime users uninstall the program.
Security vulnerabilities put the security of your computer at risk. While there are no reported cases of attacks through this QuickTime vulnerability yet, Trend Micro highly advises you to uninstall the program.
Note: QuickTime for Apple® devices do not seem to be affected by the two vulnerabilities discovered recently and Apple will continue to update the program for Apple users.
